广东河源灯塔盆地首次发现蛋化石

Abstract

Abstract:

This paper describes the first non-avian dinosaur egg clutch from the Dengta Basin, Heyuan, Guangdong. It is assigned to Elongatoolithus elongatus (Elongatoolithidae) based on the following characteristics: elongated and asymmetric eggs with an average length of 13.7 cm; the eggs are radially arranged in pairs, forming a ring-shaped clutch with their pointed ends directed outwards; the outer surface of the eggshell is ornamented with ridges that are parallel to the long axis; and the eggshell is composed of the mammillary layer and the continuous layer with a gradual boundary between. The discovery of elongatoolithid eggs in the Dengta Basin expands the paleogeographic distribution of this group and provides new data for the study of elongatoolithid clutch structure, as well as the Cretaceous red strata in the basin.

摘要：

记述了广东河源灯塔盆地发现的首个非鸟恐龙蛋窝。根据以下特征将其归入长形蛋科的长形长形蛋(Elongatoolithus elongatus，Elongatoolithidae): 蛋化石呈长形，不对称，平均长度为13.7 cm; 蛋体两枚一组放射状排列，尖端向外成环状蛋窝；蛋壳外表面具有平行于蛋体长轴的脊状纹饰；蛋壳分为锥体层和柱状层，两层界限不明显。灯塔盆地长形蛋类的发现进一步丰富了该类群的古地理分布，为长形蛋窝结构研究和确认盆地内产蛋化石的红层为白垩系提供了新的材料和证据。
