Vertebrata PalAsiatica is the oldest journal of its
kind internationally and the only academic journal in China and even Asia
dedicated to publishing research papers in vertebrate paleontology and related
fields. Its editorial board consists of renowned experts and scholars in the
field of vertebrate paleontology from both China and abroad. The journal encompasses a wide range of topics within
the field of paleovertebrate studies, such as the various classes of
paleovertebrates and the origins and evolution of humans, systematic classification,
morphology and functionality, isotopic dating, biostratigraphy and geological
time scales, paleoecology, paleoenvironmental studies, paleobiogeography,
methodologies for the collection and research of vertebrate fossils, and also
includes revisiting and re-examining the literature on paleovertebrate studies.
The main columns include Research Articles, News Reports, Academic Trends, Book
and Journal Reviews, Discussions, Reviews, and Methodological Introductions.
All research papers currently published in the journal are accompanied by
detailed English abstracts, making it an essential reference for vertebrate
paleontology researchers both in China and abroad. The journal has a
significant international academic influence and has played an active role in
bringing China's vertebrate paleontology research to the global stage.
