Abstract: Since Neopetalichthys and Quasipetalichthys were referred to Order Petalichthyida by Liu (1973) for the first time, more and more remains of this group have been reported in China. And today, South China is considered as an important biogeographical province of petalichthyids in the world. In the present paper, two new species of Guangxipetalichthys gen. nov., which excavated from Bobai, Guangxi and Tiaomajian, Hunan respectively, are systematically described.
