摘要： 本文记述了辽宁凌源晚侏罗世义县组下段白鲟科化石一新属、新种，Protopsephurus liui gen. et sp. nov.，它的吻部、方轭骨形状和鳞片特征与美国的Paleopsephurus和Crossopholis相似，但以具有一块颈片，多块鳃条骨，近似菱形的膜质筛骨和相对较短的吻部区别于其他白鲟。这是目前世界上时代最老的白鲟科化石。
Abstract: This paper describes a new fossil paddlefish, associated with Lycoptera, Peipiaosteus, from the Upper Jurassic Yixian Formation, Lingyuan County, Liaoning Province, northeastern China. It is the earliest and most primitive paddlefish discovered in the world.
